Study on Migration and the Economic Crisis: Implications for Policy in the European Union provides a synthesis and analysis of the latest available evidence in order to assess the impact of the global economic crisis on migrants and migration policy in the European Union. The findings presented in the report are based primarily on a survey conducted by IOM offices in the 27 EU Member States and Croatia, Norway and Turkey, the findings of seven commissioned country case studies (Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Spain and the UK) as well as desk research.

The International Organization for Migration's (IOM) two-volume study Migration, Employment and Labour Market Integration Policies in the European Union (2000-2009) investigates evidence of the labour market impact of migration and explores the role of relevant migrant admission and employment policies in the European Union, as well as Croatia, Norway and Turkey.
Part 1: Migration and the Labour Markets in the European Union (2000-2009) analyses data on labour market impacts of migration, explores labour market outcomes of migrants and identifies challenges and focus areas for national migrant integration policies.

The analysis includes direct labour market integration measures, as well as relevant elements of selection and admission policies and their impact on labour market outcomes of migrants.
